I decided to let the pictures speak for themselves.
These sunflowers were so pretty.

We had so many pictures of Waterton, that I thought that we should divide it into two posts. As you can see, part 2 did not come as soon.
The stream
I guess taking pictures of flowers is the next best thing to picking them.
Enjoying the ice-cream Daddy bought us. Afterward we went to another lake that borders the town.
You can’t just look at it all without thinking of God.
I love this picture.
These guys were so cute.
Where the mountains meet prairies, where God’s creation is at its best.

Finally I have something worthwhile to post about. We went to Waterton on Sunday with Janice and Nacho. It was cool and rainy but that just made it even more beautiful! In my opinion, Waterton is the most, or at least almost, the most beautiful park that I’ve ever been to. On our way up to Cameron Lake, we saw a bear and four mountain goats. That is special because we don’t see these every time we go there.
The bear
The mountain goats. This is one of those pictures that turned out without premeditation.
Preparing sandwiches for lunch.
Yes, that is snow in the background. It felt funny, even to Canadians, to see snow in July. 😉

In spite of the cooler weather, we rented boats. Most of us decided that we would rather canoe/kayak next time. Pddle boats are fun but they are deceptive. It takes a lot of serious peddling to get those boats moving.
This cute little girl stays at our house for the greater part of the week and we all really enjoy her. I thought I’d post some pictures of Alexa before already, but it didn’t seem to work, or I was doing something wrong. Finally I gave up on it, but today I’ll try again.
She enjoys crawling up the stairs. Or down, as the case may be.
Outside is her favourite place to be.
I just love that expression.
And this one is my favourite.

A few Sundays ago, my good friend and cousin Abigail came over. That, of course, meant pictures. Doesn’t it seem that impromptu photo shoots go the best? We had such a good time, that only our worn out smiles caused us to stop. Here are the pictures we took.
Which of these two is better? I couldn’t decided which one to post.
See what I meant by ” we couldn’t quit”?
This one was my favourite.
And a few of me. There were more, but I decided that I was better behind the camera than in front   of it.

These girls seemed happy about the occasion.
The lighting was just not in my favour, so the pictures didn’t turn out. I was quite disappointed.
Or did they?
I could’ve tried different angles, but was a bit to shy to move around much.
Afterward we set up tables and ate supper.
The gift and display table.
I though these guys were so cute. They were waiting for a wagon ride.
Finally a picture that turned out:)
All hungry for ice cream.
Grandpa and Grandma’s gift to Yesenia. Â It was a big hit.
This little pup got almost as much attention as Yesenia:)
P.S. by Yesenia: My apologies for not writing this post myself. Life has been so busy and, although I did try to write this evening, I was too tired to think. One day, my rested thinking brain will return to me and then maybe, you’ll hear more of me.
P.P.S. It isn’t that life isn’t interesting enough to post about, believe you me! (It’s what to post and what to leave. :-))
The fact that I’m writing a blog post is by no means because my to do list is short, but it might be because writing one is part of the priority part of that list. Do you ever let the thought cross your mind that once you were done school (be it by graduation or summer break), time will be more abundant? I sure did and what a mistake it was! But as I wrote in an email today, it was probably because we were so busy that I enjoyed it so much. The day after I finished school, we left for Oklahoma to visit family. Traveling with my family is the most pleasant way to travel. And I know I’m not biased. 😉 We had such a relaxing time, listening to stories/messages, reading visiting, or just simply enjoying the scenery in silence.
We went to Susy and Walter’s in Oklahoma and enjoyed the summer-like weather there.
Groszmama and Mama’s siblings and their families from Texas came there as well and we celebrated Easter with them (Easter egg hunt and all). We went zip lining on their homemade zip line and all got a nice sun burn.

Half the fun of going down was the thrill of being pulled back up!
Although she didn’t zip-line, I’m sure Groszmama enjoyed the day just as much as we did.
The hunt begins…
Then we headed to Colorado to visit Daddy’s sister and her family. We had a good time with them even though they were busy and we were tired. They took us to a park for a disco breakfast. It was very good!

I know it’s kind of late for a gingerbread house but it was a fine source of entertainment.
On our way home from there, we visited Royal Gorge.
The effects of the fire were still quite obvious and I was disappointed that the train was not in working order yet. They weren’t running the gondolas or cable-cars that day either so we couldn’t ride those either. Zip lining there would have worked only for Daddy and Edgar because the rest of us were either wearing skirts or weren’t heavy enough. And no one wanted to take the swing! 😉
No more tests to study for and stress about!
No more math lessons to labour through!

No more formulas to memorize!
No more maps to draw and history to commit to memory!
No more English rules to figure out!
No more science terms to remember!
I’m done with school days! ¹
I’ve written my last tests and ordered my diploma!

Thanks for praying for me and rejoicing with me. I know you are probably tired of my school subject but I’m so happy that I cannot contain it. I have to tell you.
1. I have to add a disclaimer though. I’m done early but I haven’t done all my writing projects yet and I might do some science experiments as well. I will have to keep working on those but I’m done with the traditional school days and I’m happy about that! In the beginning of the year I thought I’d do school till my 18th birthday but now that we’re going on a trip and then moving, I decided to finish my tests and work on the writing projects as I have time and motivation. I hope to get it done by my graduation (which will be some time in May, hopefully).
A load off my shoulders and praising the Lord,
Yesenia
