All your comments sure keep me motivated, so here is another post. About a month ago, we youth went to Waterton, and while we were there my friend Margaritha and I did a 10k hike up to Bertha Lake. (or Lake Bertha, I not sure which) By the way, Waterton is one of the most beautiful national parks out there! Anyway, this hike was not the easiest, but we made it and the lake up the top was so worth it. The water was so refreshing too, even if it was cold.

This was the view at the beginning…

…and this was at a look-out point. It was just beautiful! Pictures don’t do justice

My wonderful friend, Margaritha

I couldn’t get enough of this view

We thought once we reached this series of waterfalls that we were almost up to the lake. But then we realized that it was the halfway point, and we had already been climbing for an hour. So we almost turned around, but then thought better of it and kept on. The second half took much longer and was quite a bit harder.

Isn’t she just the prettiest?

This tree was so neat, and a wonderful place to rest

This was how the path looked for quite a bit of the time. I called them switch-backs, although I’m not sure if they really were. They were tough, but so beautiful.

I couldn’t get the whole tree on a picture, but this gives you an idea

We could see the prairies from the mountains, which I thought was neat!

And this was the lake! I only got a few pictures of it before the camera battery died, but I was so glad it lasted until then.
