You may be expecting the last post in the By my Phone series, but since winter is not officially over I’ll push it up and post of others things meanwhile.
One of the most exciting events of last year (photography wise) was buying a new lens. Originally I was not interested in prime lenses. I love my zoom as it allows me to take photos subtlety, hiding behind the lens. But after some research I was convinced and bought the Canon 50mm 1.4. It’s a great starter lens and to anyone in doubt I would say “Go for it!” I was terribly excited and somehow it seemed to be such a gift from God. It was definitely a learning curve though, and still is. While it handles the low f-stop quite well I would say its sweet spot is f-2.8. It provided me with a much-needed challenge and the inspiration to take photos once more. So here’s a sampling of photos, and please excuse the blurry ones; I am quite inexperienced with low apertures.

Wow Bianca, your photography skill is just getting better and better! These are beautiful pictures!!
Thank you so much Utje! I really enjoyed that series and appreciate your encouragement!😀
